Staff.
We think it was the staff, someone unlocked the room and left the door ajar before we checked out.

Front desk was nice. It was unnerving to come back to an open door at 11:00. Perhaps the staff assumed we had checked out since we were not in the room for much of the morning. They should look at actual record of check-out before entering.

Clean inside and out close to many restaurants. It seemed like a safe area.
