Days Inn Vincennes

A terrible experience from the start. The first room given had not been cleaned. Bathroom had coffee everywhere. Second room had someone else in it. Third room had only scalding hot water until faucet was run for upwards of 7 minutes. Hotel was very loud, as it was attached to a night club. Clearly lots of patrons were spending their early morning hours stumbling to their rooms. read more

Room was ready when we arrived; beds were turned down that was the good part. The only good part. Under the bedspread were fragments of leaves. There was no battery in the smoke detector. When we checked, we were told it has been taken care of, but it wasn't. They just shut the battery door. There was wireless internet available, but a device was required to access it, and all the devices were checked out. The pool filter was off, the pool area lights were off (or just out) the girl at the front desk said everything was on and wouldn't check on it. The pool was cloudy, filmy and unable to be used. Our TV cable was malfunctioning and there was a loud buzzing noise coming from the set. Four calls to the front desk, each 15-20 minutes apart to inquire about the smoke detector and the television, but those calls all went unanswered. The coffee maker had a curious location. In the bathroom, on the counter right next to the toilet. Coffee makers are permissible in dressing areas, but never next to the commode! The thought of the toilet overspray on beverages is nauseating! The extra cups and bags of coffee were in the toilet area as well. Nasty. We left the hotel twice. Once to eat out and when we checked out in the morning. Both times, employees were grouped around doorways and service entrances, smoking, but no one was staffing the front desk or cleaning the rooms. read more

This hotel was more like a drive by motel. Everything was out dated. The carpets were nasty and stained and the restaurants food was nasty too!
