Close to attractions in the French Quarter.
Lied about having parking.
It's OK for French Quarter hotel on a budget. There is no insulation - you hear everything. Drapes are lightweight so you have light coming in through the curtains and the spaces around the door. They advertise parking, but that's if the sister hotel 5 blocks away has any spaces left; if not, you are on your own. It's historic and the staff is pleasant.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was wonderful.
The hotel staff was not very knowledgeable about restaurants in the area.

Very close to Bourbon but away from the action. Staff very helpful and kind.
No fridge, but used sink as a cooler. Spent most time out exploring, but bring cooler if you plan on stocking up on food/beverage.
GREAT place to stay for college students in town who are somewhat responsible. Was told one (Saturday) night to keep it down outside because of other guests trying to sleep but overall the staff was very courteous and respectful. Breakfast from 6?-10 or 11 served coffee/OJ and donuts until gone. Was able to get free parking offered, not too far of a walk between there and the hotel (5 blocks?) but great bonus to have in New Orleans. Supposedly one of the most haunted hotels in French Quarter but was not aware of any paranormal activity during my stay. Room with 2 beds was big enough for 3 male and 2 female college-age adults. Had a blast in New Orleans and was really impressed by the way we were treated by hotel staff. read more

Historic (old) structure with a romantic setting.
Room was small and no internet connection.
Great location on royal street behind Jackson Square and one block of Bourbon St. Older structure with historic value, friendly staff and beautiful entry/reception area. Romantic feels to it, but lacks the modern amenities. Great for a weekend, but not a business traveler.

Location & Friendly Desk Clerk. Beautiful courtyard.
Parking was three blocks away. Ice machine broken. Bathtub stopper broken. No water pressure. No extra amenities.
Overall, the location was wonderful. Very quiet when returned to hotel for rest. The front desk was very friendly. We put a "Do not disturb" sign on our door for the morning and the maid woke us up by calling us on the phone to verify we did not want to be disturbed and not to clean the room yet... Parking was not so convenient. And, if we wanted a pool, we'd have to walk three blocks to the sister hotel to use theirs. I booked this hotel based on it being a three star, but it was barely a two star. I think I would have had more amenities at the two star hotels nearby. read more
