Clarion Hotel Portland

Have stayed at this facility a few times with positive reactions. This stay had a very poor room, windows up so high could not see out. Heating system very loud and could see black residue on ceiling from the unit. Had the feeling since used discount booking, did not get the best room.

Decent room for an excellent price. However, our room was in need of sprucing up. The bath had cracked tiles, rusting fixtures and door frame, and torn wallpaper. The picture frame above the bed was coming apart. Most annoying was the old manual heating system, which required you to physically get up and turn the unit on and off, instead of having a thermostat. The rooms were poorly insulated and got cold quickly as a result, and the old windows actually leaked some rain during a big storm that passed through Portland. The rooms on this property definitely need to be updated to reflect the very nice lobby, dining area and pool/workout room. read more

Great spot if you are traveling on business or with children, a little off the path for major shopping but not too far to drive.

The Clarion Portland Maine's friendly helpful staff and the excellent shuttle service that puts you in easy reach of destinations within a 5mile radius make the Clarion the place to stay for a weekend get-a-way in Portland especially if you come with having a lobster dinner in mind!

The Portland Clarion Hotel was nice enough, but very loud. We could hear nearly everything going on in the hallway outside our door. It was very disturbing to our enjoyment. Everything was clean, good amenities, no other complaints.

It was a great hotel for the price that we paid.

Very friendly staff. The front desk and drivers for the shuttle were very knowledgeable and helpful.
