Great location and easy access to the city.
Small and
very basic.

Hotel was close to everything, near three T stops and including Back Bay station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are small, bare bones but adequate for a no frills hotel.

Location.
The room.

Very good location. However, my room was very small, didn't have a wardrobe, the bed was also very small and the blinds didn't work meaning that I woke up everyday with the sunlight in my face.

Location.
Small rooms, restaurant was very average,

Very small rooms, felt like a dorm, no desk in the room, location was great. Basically a budget hotel. Not for families, okay for students.

Location, friendly staff, a good mix of people among the guests. For the money, cannot think of a better place to stay in overpriced Boston.
The dining is cafeteria and hours are limited. The Lobby could be more inviting.

I cannot think of a better location in Boston. In addition to all one wants to do/see in Boston,it is seconds from the Mass. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was eager to please. Parking was convenient. All this for a great rate in an overpriced market.

Conveniently located.
Pretty much everything else.

Hotel 140 describes themselves as a boutique hotel. If that were true, then it would also apply to a Motel-6 or Super-8. The young staff was friendly and helpful, but the hotel accommodations and room decor were pitiful. I would never go back to this hotel or recommend it to friends. I canceled our 2nd and 3rd nights and moved to a much better hotel for only a few bucks more.

Overbooking and did not notified in advance when no room would be available. When transferring us to a hotel nearby, they didn't even mentioned the name of the other hotel but told us to refer to a letter. Hotel 140 Staffs didn't know about the street parking rule and just wanted us to park in the lot owned by their partner. They were not helpful and not very friendly.

Polite staff, very clean and was modern. Small but well designed room.

When I arrived at the hotel my room had been given away! I had to pay $27 to park and then immediately get my car out to find another hotel. They had my phone number but didn't bother to contact me. I had also contacted them the night before my stay to confirm.
