I liked its convenience to downtown Boston.
They charged $5 for all bottles of water left in room, and no notice about charge until second day.
Very clean, well-located hotel in Cambridge just a 30-40 minutes walk from the Back Bay area and Beacon Hill. Lovely views over the Charles from the riverside rooms and restaurant. The fitness center is free - with swimming pool, exercise machines, steam and sauna rooms.

The smallest and worst shower ever.

Room and common areas were clean and attractive.
Outrageous $35 per night parking fee, not near public transportation.

Attractive, very good staff, mostly comfortable.
Carpets were dirty, they did change us to a room with slightly better carpet.
It is a nice hotel with a good staff. The first person, however, put us in a room with a very dirty carpet and no bedspread. Also told us that check-in was 4 pm. The second person we saw was very accommodating and switched us to a higher room with slightly better carpet and proper bed covers. We were shocked by the $35 parking fee however, we were also advised that we could, as many did, park on the street. That worked very well. Also the H2O in our room had a note to say it was $5 a bottle. Otherwise all of the staff were extremely professional and pleasant. read more

Check-in staff was excellent upon my late arrival.
I was unsure where the check-in desk was from the front entrance.
I had a great stay. I wish it had been longer as I arrived late from attending an event in NH. The employee at the check-in desk was very informed about the area & gave me some additional maps & literature (this allowed me to plan out my iterniary for the next day). They were generous to allow my parking pass to be available until 4 pm even though check-out was at noon.

It was near to HBS, which is where I wanted to be.
The room smelled like cigarette smoke.
This is a hotel in dire need of a remodel. The room was old, smelly, and dull. The TV volume only went up to #9, barely a whisper. It smelled as though someone had just smoked a cigarette in it and then tried to cover it up with perfume.

Location.
No free internet access anywhere in the hotel.
The hotel could be spruced up a bit inside the lobby. There was no sitting chair in my room, only a desk chair and that is not conducive to reading a book etc. The parking was an additional $35.00 and the internet access another 13.00. I believe the internet should be free, at least in the lobby area. It was pouring outside and there were no hotel umbrellas.
