Days Inn Springfield/Chicopee, Ma

Older, clean hotel. Staff was very helpful. Major problem the first night that was solved the next day. My first night's stay was complimentary. Since I did not have my laptop with me I had to use the hotel's public internet for which there was a charge.

Convenient location.

I will not stay here again. Front of hotel looks fairly new and nice. Hallways to rooms is old and dark, rooms were definitely economy. Bathroom is tiny and shabby.

I was in Mass. The week before and I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Ludlow, that was nice. The rooms in this hotel had a old, moldy smell, the need to replace all of the sheets and blankets. I stayed in two rooms and they were both the same way, so it was not like an error.

Very cooperative staff.

The hotel was under renovations. The hotel was not clean. There was blood on the toilet from the previous person's use.

I would not recommend this hotel at all. It was next to the turnpike and trucks ran all night. It was my most disappointing stay in a motel I can remember. If you have a way to let people know the conditions you should let them know.

My friend and I need time to get away and to also be close to his family in Chicopee. Most of the people that worked there were extremely pleasant and my only major complaint would be that you had to pay a fee upfront to be allowed to use the phone for local calls to my friends family. So we used cell phones instead. Feeling this was not right even though returnable at the end of our stay. Our budget was limited as it was and adding the extra would have meant having to not have a meal or a full tank of gas for ride home. There must be a better way to have customers not make long distance calls rather than charging those only making the local calls. read more
