The location.
The shower head was too high on the wall for short people like me.
Overall I had a pleasant stay. The front desk staff was helpful. The room service was also very nice. I have two negative comments. There was a party in the conference room beneath my room. Although I understand it was a Friday night, I had to be awake at 5:30 AM and was disappointed when I could not go to sleep until almost 1 AM. Although the shower is small, since I am short (5'5"), having the shower head almost 7' makes you feel like you are drowning while standing up. Since there wasn't any room to back up, you had no where to go but directly under the water, not safe nor convenient in my opinion. read more

The good continental breakfast.
The hotel was a bit run down; There was a must smell like old carpeting when entered from the rear entrance.
Although the room was large, the bathroom was not updated. It was difficult to get around this hotel since it seemed like a patchwork of construction. I would not recommend this hotel to the general traveler.

My room was on the third floor and there was no elevator to this floor.
I was very unsatisfied with this hotel. First, my room was surrounded by about five other rooms all of which were under construction. For the first two mornings I woke up to construction workers hammering at 8am. Finally, my room was moved and I was able to sleep in. Secondly, upon arrival and departure I had to carry my heavy luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs as there was no elevator for the third floor rooms. read more

Everyone was very friendly.
It smelled bad and was overall very cheap.
This hotel was very dated (80's) and smelled fairly musty. Everyone working there was friendly, but they failed to put me in a king bed room even though I called twice to request it.
I was very sad with the quality of the hotel and ended up leaving for a Marriot and paying both hotel rooms.

Bathrooms were clean, room pleasant.
Lobby outside non smoking wing smelled of cigarette smoke.

Check-in took 20 minutes. We had to wait in the lobby. We checked in at 2 pm, so it was a bit early.

I liked the idea that students work there. My son is a freshman at J & W. It is amazing how friendly those kids are.
The directions to the school in Providence were great. need to improve the ones for the return.
I thought the inn was beautiful, the food was elegant and the employees were more than willing to assist. It's refreshing to meet young people with such good personalities while at work. I've been several other places where teens are working and they don't seem to care about work ethic! Kudos to the Johnson & Wales Inn!

Nothing.
The lobby smelled like the Superdome/Convention Center in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina!

Hotel entrance areas seemed to be accessible with little security.
Location was good, near fast-food places. However, lobby and room had mildew odor.
