Smelly room! And was a non-smoking!
Old as the hills. Trying to keep up but, room smelled to high heaven. No amount of Febreeze would help for more than a few hours. If had kiddies they would love the room opening up onto the atrium pool. Exercise equipment looked good until tried to use. All were broken.

Up-dated room furnishings / comfortable beds. Lobby and pool area very stuffy and warm. Pool looked a little murky but several people were in it.

Nothing.
AC non-functioning,
WiFi non-functioning, smelly room, cheap linens.
The first room they put me in was smoking when I picked non-smoking room. Second room had no grounded plug near desk for my computer and couldn't connect wireless due to fact that room was at far outside of building (I am an IT consultant). Third room, finally able to connect WiFi, but not at desk, but when sitting by window. Air conditioner turned to maximum and room was still too warm. Pillows were small and flat and linens, mostly polyester, were scratchy. Lighting was poor and room seemed dingy. Not surprising, the hotel clerk stated that they only had 4 customers. I travel one or two nights each week and routinely stay at other hotel chains. I generally avoid Best Western due to similar problems I've encountered, but this was the worst experience. I would avoid this hotel at all costs. read more

The room seemed to be updated rather recently - modern colors, traditional furnishings. It was very nice and also quiet.
Pleasant room, comfortable beds - one of the first hotels I slept the night through on the first night. Very quiet until people began leaving their rooms - doors shut quite noisily, but no real noise from other rooms the rest of the time. Easy access to Route 94 to get us to U of Michigan for a gymnastics meet. Fast check in and check out.

Hotel was built 45 years ago as a Holiday Inn and marginally updated.
Not a convenient location and very run down feeling.

Beautiful lobby-too bad the rooms weren't good.
No heat, toilet no working properly, outside room when the hotel was basically empty.
I would never stay here again and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Perhaps they should have spent more money on the rooms and the room facilities than on the lobby.
