You may "never need to see the light of day" when you stay at this 72-story complex where there's a "courteous staff" (though the service is "inconsistent") and everything you'll need "for business in Downtown Detroit"; there are "beautiful views" over the city, but acrophobes shudder it's "not for those with a fear of heights"; at least if you're afraid of water, you're fine since there's "no pool – what's up with that?"

Great location and great view.
No snack vending machines, no free wireless internet.

We were very pleased with this hotel. It has a great location, great view of the river and Canada, and it's clean. Nice big flat screen TVs in the rooms. Our only disappointment was no snack vending machines.

Close to everything in Downtown Detroit.
Complex is so big it is easy to get lost inside.

The hotel is in a large complex that includes the headquarters of General Motors. Plenty of parking nearby if you choose to not use the valet service. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is a cylinder shaped high rise, the tallest structure in Detroit. The rooms offer a nice view of Downtown Detroit, the Detroit river, and Canada. Easy walking distance to most Downtown attractions. read more

Good location on the people mover.

Very close to most of the important attractions. Rooms seemed very noisy from people in hallways.

The architecture of the Ren Cen and the view from our room were both breathtaking.
There was no coffee pot.

Our room was small but attractive and the view was spectacular! We could see Tiger Stadium, Ford Field, Greek Town and the river and Canada. We ate breakfast at the restaurant which was good but pricey.

My room was by a service door on the floor keep me up from 5am when help came in.

Make sure your room is not by the loud service doors
I was by, door would make a loud bang everytime someone used them . Otherwise the hotel was really nice,
