Beautifully old & traditional features with all the appropriate updates!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Boyne Highlands Main Lodge. We were comfortable. The staff was polite, curteous, and helpful. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the flowers so nicely designed. It's just a great place!

Beautiful setting.
The super massive parking lot security light. At night this is something akin to the fist of God in your face.

Didn't like this experience.
Dirty old section of facility.

Have stayed at Boyne previously - great place. This room was in a small old building away from the main facility that did not have the same amenities as the main facility. Should not be rated the same as main facility. Also too far from Petoskey area requested. Would not have picked if given a choice especially the substandard area away from the main lodge.

Not much, the Bartley House @ Boyne Highlands is in poor shape.
Did not meet my expectations for a 2 star hotel.

The Bartley House at Boyne Highlands Resort is in very poor shape. All of the plumbing fixtures were out of date and some leaked and/or did not work properly. The HVAC unit in the room was old and very loud. The TV was old and made a loud buzzing sound when turned on. Although, I was in a non-smoking room, when the window was open (second floor) smoke from people out side filled the room making it unpleasant for quite a while. The over-all facility is in very poor shape and in need of updating. This was not a good hotel experience for me. read more

European feel, clean, friendly, hospitable, cozy. Great for business, leisure, kids, no kids, and skis!
Nothing.

This stay was problematic in the beginning. I had requested a three-star hotel for two adults, and when I arrived at the hotel, they had reserved for us a small room with one double bed. This is not three star accommodations for two adults. I returned to the front desk and requested a room with a king bed. They gladly obliged and did not charge us an upgrade fee. I am thankful for that. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. read more

The location. Hiking trails, shops nearby, pools, sauna, hot tub. Fantastic.
There was nothing that we did not like. Want to go back.

Accommodations were superb. Friendly staff. Great location for summer not just winter. Lots to do in the area. Hiking, shopping, great restaurants, dinner theater, golf, swimming, more that we ever imagined. Would like to have stayed a couple more nights but had to get back to work.

Lots to do, many amenities.
Stairs, no elevators.

The landscaping of the resort was absolutely stunning. The rooms were older, but very adequate. Many amenities on site included pool, hot tub, golf, boccie ball, paddle boats, trout feeding. Great for families with small children as well as older children. Saw show Young Americans, was really good, food was ok. Menu prices for hotel restaurants was expensive, didn't eat there.

The scenery was beautiful and the resort was very peaceful.
It was further away from Petosky than I'd hoped and parking was not convenient at the resort.
