The shuttle service was extremely convenient and helpful for getting around town.

Convenient downtown location, excellent staff service, comfortable accommodations, convenient pass for in and out of parking ramp, cozy restaurant/pub inside the hotel.

I thought the room service fees were reasonable.
The elevators were slow. Also, it stung to pay for parking at the hotel when I just spent a gob of money on a parking ramp for the day at the convention center.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. There is an on-site restaurant which is nice if you are tired after a day at the convention center. The best part is that if there is a sporting event and the place is packed you can skip up to your room and get room service provided by the restaurant.

The room and bathroom was very nice.
I did not like having to park in a separate parking lot and paying $14.00 + tax.

The hotel was very nice, friendly staff. The location was very good as far as where we were visiting. We just didn't like having to park on the top level of a separate parking lot and then get charged for it. I have never paid for parking plus tax at any hotel, and we've stayed at a downtown Hilton. Having to go out to our car for any reason, especially bringing in our luggage was very inconvenient. read more

Location was great for River Centre convention hall.
The room doors were not sound proofed. Saturday night was like a huge party in the hall from 4pm to almost 3am.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Outside was clean and nice. Room decor was dated, but well kept and very clean. It is among the noisiest hotels I have ever stayed in. Door were not sound-proofed, you could see feet walking by outside. Saturday, it turned into a party hotel and was like a frat house from 4pm to almost 3am, and then started up again at 8am when the kids woke up and were running through the halls. It was impossible to sleep. read more

Clean, conveniently located across from Xcel center.
Couple of staff people had attitudes.

Good, clean hotel. Only problem was I had to convince them of my health concerns before they would give me a non-smoking room. Loved most of the staff. They were ready to serve and help, however a friend had a run-in with them, and he was strong-armed out of the hotel that particular hotel person had no conflict resolution skills.

Location.
Needs a good cleaning.

This is a big hotel in a convenient location, downtown St. Paul. It was probably 3-3.5 upscale star level at one time, but it needs some good cleaning/reupholstering throughout, including the restaurant, to reach that level again. The coffee was not good - didn't really taste like coffee .
