Great. Clean. Easy to find. Mostly friendly staff. Some staff got into the Grandma's Marathon and helped me know where to park. Good breakfast. Nice rooms, felt almost at home. I would stay there again.

We needed a place to stay just north of Duluth before we began our trip into the Boundary Waters. This may be a little far away to stay after coming out, but if you're looking for an affordable and convenient push-off point, this is nice. Just an hour and half south of Grand Marais. Breakfast left a little to be desired was the only negative.

First night we had a beautiful Jacuzzi room, but when I went to turn the Jacuzzi on it was full of hair. They deducted off our bill and moved us to an even better room with Jacuzzi and fireplace. Slept like a baby. Stayed again 2 nights later again had a beautiful room, but again when to start the Jacuzzi and it was full of hair, sticks and sand. They dropped the price of the room and then sent someone up to clean the tub and I had a wonderful soak in the tub. Again, slept like a baby. Hotel staff was awesome, understanding, and courteous. The hotel is very clean. The rooms the lobby and the pool area were above average on cleanliness. The staff was friendly and treated us very well. I would defiantly go back.

I think it was overall a great experience.

The lobby area is very inviting to sit down read a book. Check out e-mail, or have a cup of coffee. The breakfast was great. But we needed assistance to make a waffle. The instructions did not appear to be in an obvious spot. The pool area was wonderful for my two year old as well as my 7 year old. It was a pleasant experience after a long day traveling.
