Comfort Inn Charleston

the hotel was descent, the room was clean, everyone was very friendly!! The pool was dirty. The continental breakfast was not very good. The bagels were soggy because they were frozen, then put into a serving container, and they weren't able to thaw out completely. I think the breakfast could be a little bit better. But overall the stay was nice!

The staff was very friendly and the TV and internet worked great - that's about it for the good stuff. The refrigerator was unplugged and the door had been left open with towels all around it as if someone were attempting to defrost and clean it. There was mold in the fridge! I was afraid to go near the microwave. The outlets were not secure and anything plugged into them was left hanging half way out, exposing the prongs - big fire hazard. The outdoor pool is extremely small and did not look clean. The carpet felt sticky from the moisture and the bathrooms felt like a closet. The room was not welcoming at all. read more

It was an old, musty room. The towels didn't even smell clean and the comforter had a big cigarette burn in it. I was not at all impressed.
