It was easy to get to from Kaufman Stadium.
No water for the first night and the next morning, not clean, fruit flies were all over.
I will never stay at another Baymont and will make sure that I tell everyone that I know and talk to not to ever stay at a Baymont.

They had good waffles for the continental breakfast.
Only 20 words.
I will never again stay at that hotel. It was in a really bad part of town and I felt terribly unsafe. As a 1st time traveler to Kansas city, I felt there were lots of other hotels I saw that would have been a lot better, safer, and knowledgeable about the area. For the same price I paid there. No amenities at all!

It had a bed.
It was dirty and had a bad odor.
Our room was filthy. The toilet was dirty. There was chewed gum stuck on the head board. There was a dirty needle on the lamp stand. There were incense sticks hanging from the walls. Lastly there was a large white stain on the floor next to the bed.

Very close to stadium and I-70. Breakfast was good.
It wasn't clean enough.
Baymont was very close to the stadium and to I-70 which was our main drag for shopping. However, there were ants in our bed and a pair of underwear on the floor in the room when we arrived. Staff implied that we had brought the ants with us. I will not return.

Breakfast was good.
Bed was hard; staff unimpressive; no pool; many stores closed in area.
Room was not bad, although the bed was quite hard. The front desk clerk was much uninvolved and not friendly at all, although not difficult, either. The room was a bit musty - needed airing out - but otherwise seemed clean and in order. The biggest issue we had was that there were no stores nearby that were open - many in the area had closed (the nearest Mall, listed as a benefit, was 75% empty) and we traveled another 4 or 5 miles just to get to a Wal-Mart. read more

The bed I slept in was comfortable.
Needs major renovating to make it more appealing. The pictures I viewed on it were very deceiving.
Good for sleeping and that's about it. The whole building had damage in areas that made it seem like they were negligent in caring for those things. For example: the handle in the bathtub was broken in two and hanging from the wall. They could have at least removed the broken one until it could be replaced. Another example: there was a hole in the screen window that looked like a bullet hole and the hole in the screen was held together with scotch tape. Not once did anyone knock on our door to check to see if we needed room service. Your description of this place says "hotel" it's more like "lower end motel". My husband and I were not pleased. I could've paid re to stay at holiday inn and would have received much better service and would've been much more comfortable with the atmosphere. I will go there next time. read more

Good breakfast included with stay.
Could have been cleaner, location was somewhat isolated.
The Hotel did have very reasonable rates, and was located very close to the Arrowhead/Royals Sports Complex. Very basic hotel in an isolated area without much else around it. Breakfast was good, with a waffle iron. It served my needs, but I probably would look elsewhere next time.

The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast could have had a bigger selection.
I enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious and comfortable.

It was a good location in relation to Kaufman stadium.
It was very run-down and management seemed to be cutting corners.
I had stayed at this hotel four years ago, but I didn't realize that until we had arrived. What a difference four years can make. There was a jock-strap left in our room from the previous occupant, the Showtime guide was out of date. The Kansas City visitors guide was 7 months old. Even though our room was "smoke free" it smelled smoky and the hallway always smelled smoky. The air conditioner looked moldy and the air it blew into the room smelled stale. The room was in need of maintenance, the mattresses were lumpy and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. There were no batteries in the remote control and the desk did not have any replacements. All in all it was a very disappointing experience. read more

Poor value for the money.
We did not care for the Baymont at all. It was a poor location and the area felt unsafe. The rooms had an odd odor (we requested non-smoking rooms, but they smelled musty). The breakfast was poor. I would not stay here again.
