Very comfortable and very large sized room.

was super difficult to find an entrance, poor access.

The big room was a surprise much larger than I would have expected along with the beds, etc. It was clean and comfortable. Elevators seemed hard to locate and every thing was spread out from the lobby area.

I could use updating, and modernizing.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The on site restaurant was clean and the food was very good. While the hotel decorating could be modernized, the hotel was not run down.

Filthy hallways.

We checked in, a couple came in as we were checking in asking what a room would cost for the night? Don't think we'll stay there again, as there was a Holiday Inn in town. The hallways / stairs were filthy, the entrance was impossible to find, and the staff person at the desk that night was picking her nose.

The pool and Spa.
The food.

I enjoyed staying at the Howard Johnson. It was quiet and provided smoking rooms. It was extrememly cold outside and I didn't need to go out to smoke. The room was very clean. And the staff was very professional.

Hotel food was good.
The pool and hot tub was too cold. My Daughter room was a pet friendly room and it smelled. Had cat allergies and had an extreme reaction.

Won't go there again.
