The chips are down at this old-timer that may be "centrally located" for casinos and ski slopes, but isn't worth the gamble for the many who claim it's "past its best days", with "shoddy" rooms, "sinking centers in the mattresses" and "multiple problems" with reservations; fortunately, the casino is "well maintained" (if "smoky") and the "pool is gorgeous", but most feel this is "not fit to be called a resort—though maybe 'the last resort.'"

Do not need to go through Casino to get to hotel rooms.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. Nice to have a hair dryer and iron/board in room. Rooms were quiet and nice that their are adjoining rooms as an option for your stay. Even though Starbucks is in the lobby, they really need coffee makers in the rooms. The water for showers was outstandingly warm. (maybe too hot) I loved it - but some may complain. It was the perfect location for the event we were attending and plan to stay next year. read more

Large rooms, great views of the lake and good staff.
The all you can eat food was not the best.

My Family went for a Reunion, about 20 of us stayed from 2 to 4 nights. The price was right and the rooms large and great views of the lake. Only hotel with a pool, but to busy to enjoy it. Resturant was nice for breakfest, but buffet not the best.

Terrible as a casino hotel

Casino consists of small pods of slots. There is no table action and the hotel was fairly dead when it comes to business.

The only thing I liked about this hotel was its location.

The day staff at the desk were friendly and helpful
Hotel sadly in need of renovation--night staff need to be trained on how to treat customers; soap and shampoo were used prior to our checking into roo

Only recommended to those desperate for a room

The staff was great and the location was ideal.
The swimming pool was warmer than the hot tubs.

This hotel is an economical, friendly, no frills place to stay that is convenient to many different activities. It is a good place to stay if you plan on being active and not spending much time in your room.
