Description of Four Queens Hotel And Casino
On the comer of the brightest spot in the world- ground broke on November 16- 1964- for one of the most famous Glitter Gulch landmarks -- the Four Queens Hotel/Casino. The hotel was dedicated to owner/builder Ben Goffsteins four daughters- Faith- Hope- Benita and Michele. It began as a pint-size property with 120 rooms and a casino of 20-000 square feet. Under creative leadership it has grown to be a jewel in todays downtown Las Vegas. In 1976- the casino expanded to 33-000 square feet- and the new decor set the interior-decorating trend for Las Vegas casinos by replacing the typical gambling-house red and black with warm earth tones. Another casino expansion in 1977 enlarged the casino to 40-000 square feet. It now takes up the full block of Fremont Street from Casino Center to Third Street. Another addition in 1981 added a nineteen-story- 400-room tower with a new front desk and lobby area plus 8-000 more square feet of casino space bringing it currently to 690 rooms of which 42 are suites- and approximately 50-000 square feet of casino space. In 2003- new owners TLC brought about a complete renovation of the hotel and casino. The Four Queens offers meeting and convention space for up to 180 people in the Royal Pavilion The gourmet restaurant- Hugos Cellar- has won recognition for five years as the best gourmet room in Las Vegas. Hugos wine list holds an Award of Excellence from The Wine Spectator. A 1995 Zagat survey listed the Four Queens as a property with solid comfort and super specials dealt daily. Forty years of downtown warmth and gaming entertainment make the Four Queens stand out as a Glitter Gulch landmark. read more

It was OK. I was impressed at how well maintained this hotel/casino is.
There was nothing wrong really.

The hotel looks like an older casino from an earlier time period. My room was quite well maintained & comfortable.

Location, Fremont Street.
$3.00 fee for parking daily.

In the heart of old town Vegas. Nicely appointed. Loved to play Keno. I thought the slots were loose.

Good price.
Did not know the breakfast wasn't included - was 13/person! And we were late so all we got was 2 muffins!

I mostly liked the location. Fremont Street is fun!
Only one bed in room, staying with my neice, ok though.

This hotel is a good jumping point for wandering around Fremont street. Did not try the restaurants there, but it was a fun casino.

Very comfy mattress and pad, coffee maker.
Nothing, but remember it is a downtown casino/hotel.

It was clean, nicely decorated, nice newer flat screen TV, much more comfortable bedding, nice little coffee maker, maids were very nice and spoke English, and I thought a pretty good value since it was a Saturday night in downtown Las Vegas and Nascar and the bowlers were in town.

Cheap and on Fremont Street.
Not a lot of tables open in the casino.

If your looking for an ecnomical stay on Fremont St. this is it.

Very friendly staff (front desk, bell desk, maid service) and overall clean.
Noises from pipes and other things audible through room wall.

Very friendly staff, centrally located downtown and overall fairly clean with multiple dining options.

We like the convenience of the location. We don't ever have to drive anywhere else.

We had a problem with a light and a dripping faucet. The maintenance man was there right away to plug in the light for us ( and didn't even laugh at us) and fixed the drip to the best of his ability. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. They haven't forgotten what customer service really means. Just make us feel welcome.
