I stayed at Hyatt Place with my boyfriend for 4 nights, and I have no complaints. The hotel is a smaller boutique style hotel which is a nice change. Staff were super friendly and accommodating when we needed maps and other information. We also asked to switch rooms when they gave us a room with 2 double beds because all the king beds were in rooms by the elevator. When I told them we'd prefer that, they had no issues switching our rooms, quick and painless. The room was great, had a sink and fridge and everything! The only thing that could have been better was to have a bigger tub, but that's such a minor point it made little difference to us. We had free WiFi and free parking (huge bonus), and coffee / toast is free in the morning. read more

The free continental breakfast.
It's becoming a little bit run down, battle weary.
This is a nice place to stay. I remember it as being nicer when I stayed here years ago. It now seems like it is not kept up as well as it once was. My room was spacious with a nice flat screen TV but the mattress on my bed was uneven and lumpy. I had to pick a spot on the mattress that was somewhat flat and even to sleep on. The lock on my door had a broken hinge. The room seemed more musty than I would have hoped, although still clean, in general. read more

Very helpful staff, big and nice rooms, great safe location, restaurants close by, good shuttle service. Bus at back door to NYC.
The elevators were very loud. We were only two rooms away and were woken in the night and had to get ear plugs to sleep through noise of the elevators.
This hotel was a gorgeous, safe and conveniently located hotel in the NJ area. Rooms were really big and clean. Breakfast was good, no pastries as it says on the website, but no big deal. Fresh apples in lobby everyday. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Great shuttle service that will take you pretty much where ever you want in the area(does not go to NYC). The New Jersey transit was located out the back of the hotel, which was great! The bus is very pricey tho, going back and forth. $3.15 each, no transfers or day passes. Spent $25 for 2 peole a day on the bus. But not a downfall on the hotel at all. The hotel is also walking distance to dining around the area, like Chili's, Red Lobster, The Outback Steak House, Burger King, and more. The shuttle took us to the Olive Garden, which was about 10mins away. Walmart is located around the corner, which is where our GPS lead us too on the way there. And apparently a lot of people ( following a GPS) is lead to this location when driving read more

The room was very spacious. My husband loved the large flat screen TV.
The air-conditioner fan was loud and constantly going on and off.
Great hotel. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. The staff were especially friendly and helpful. Very comfortable bed.

Service, comfort and cleanliness.
This hotel has an excellent shuttle bus service that can take you to Secaucus Junction where you can take a train to Manhattan Penn Station, Newark Airport and many other places in NJ. The shuttle can take you too to another train that takes out to the port where there is Ferry to Manhattan. There is a bus that has a stop at the hotel that takes you to Manhattan in 15 minutes for under $4. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. All the rooms have a sofa bed, an a small refrigerator and my room had a very comfortable king bed. The continental breakfast is good (cereal, bread, coffee, fruits...). read more
