Lobby renovation was very attractive.
Dirty floors in hallways, elevators, public space, and dirty bathtub, bad smell in room, bad peeling paint in room.

This hotel has a very modern lobby renovation and you are pleasantly surprised when you walk in. Once in the hotel room area, though you can see signs of the age (peeling paint, old air conditioning units, dated wallpaper), even though the furniture in the room may be new, reminds me of that phrase putting lipstick on a pig. Front desk agent welcomed me, very friendly, and said he had a room that I would love (?). It was almost midnight and I was tired. Horrible smell upon entering the room, kind of like it needed to be aired out. Turned on air conditioning hoping that would help (front panel of air conditioner about to fall off) and went in bathroom to discover dirty bathtub with something brown smeared on it, paint peeling above shower head, and very dirty sink. Immediately called for another room and although front desk room knew my frustration apologized and brought up a new key, the new room was right at the ice machine so we listened to that all night. If I wasn't so tired I would have requested a third room. Will never stay at this hotel again. read more

Swimming pool.
Old and tired.

I do not recommend. It seems to be in a state of renovation. They are tiling the lobby, paving the parking lots, etc. The rooms are tired and the elevators dirty. This was an old Marriott and not to the standards of a Crown Plaza hotel.

Hotel staff was very friendly and greet you every entrance.
Bottom floor is university dorms, should be told before hand.

Great staff. Clean room, though water stain above AC. Small bathroom and fan didn't work. Poor drainage of tub when showering (like standing in a pool of soapy water). Didn't get a chance to try pools but saw staff cleaning outdoor pool every morning. No free hotel Wi-Fi and approx. 25 channels on TV and very slow channel surfing, overall 2.5 hotel, would stay again.

Location was good, lobby was nice.
No coffee shop (gift shop had horrible hours).

I was surprised how old the room decor and carpets were (they actually smelled bad). Pool had so many chemicals your eyes burned walking into the room). Only coffee was from a bad gift shop that was only open about 5 hours a day. Soda machines didn't work on 2 floors I tried. Internet connection was wireless, but very slow.

Nice lobby, indoor & outdoor pools, LCD tv's & cold a/c in guestrooms
Second class treatment if you booked on priceline or Hotwire

Nice newly renovated lobby & guestrooms. Large indoor & outdoor pools with hottub & spa/gym. Restaurants are nice- especially the buffet breakfast. Ample parking. Quick room service and amenity delivery. Could be cleaner in the hallways & showers leave much to be desired. No bell hop service. Usually hosts large weekend weddings & gatherings. Don't expect any favors from front desk staff unless you booked directly through the hotel. read more

Clean and comfortable room/bath
Luggage cart was bulky and awkward to manuver easily.

Very nice hotel, have stayed in a number of them during business travels. Super fast elevators, clean rooms. Checked in later in evening and did not dine in the hotel, but looked nice. Staff was courteous and friendly. Overall very nice stay.

I enjoyed the pool and the room was clean - although the room lacked Internet capabilities - since the business center had problems.
The one computer (only one computer) within the business center experienced faulty Internet difficulties during my stay -- Inexcuable! Fix It!

Clean, Better than acceptable - Convenient location to NYC as well as Princeton University and Rutgers University. Hotel personnel were friendly and accommodated my needs with directions and knowledge of the Somerville, Brunswick area. Would choose to stay again at the hotel.
