This motel needs an upgrade. Although it was very clean, the carpets were dingy, the blankets worn and too thin, the towels threadbare and the lighting poor. The management was very nice and helpful, offering to move us when the wifi didn't work very well. but if they just invested in new towels and linens the whole thing would be much improved. Next time I would spend the extra 15 bucks. read more

Was able to park right outside the door to my room.
Ok, first of all, don't expect the Ritz. Don't even expect the Holiday Inn. The bathroom was old and grungy. The mini-fridge and microwave were right outside the bathroom door & you practically trip over them when you try to go in or out. The room had a generally bad odor which had nothing to do with the fact that it was a smoking room. We were in Auburn for a wedding, and when we left the room for the rehearsal dinner we bolted the inside door and locked the door to the parking lot on the way out. When we came back to the hotel after the dinner, the outside door would not unlock. Apparently the batteries died in the keycard lock. The girl at the front desk tried to unlock it with an actual key, and when that didn't work she had to call the manager. We waited over an hour, and we were very late for the cocktail hour which followed the rehearsal dinner. The next day the people in the room next to us said the same thing happened to them earlier in the week. The breakfast offered is just coffee, cereal, and Entemann's muffins & pastries. Nothing to write home about, but like I said you really don't expect the Ritz here. read more

Location.
Depressing lasting impression.
Mixed up room preference. Child screaming a lot across the hall. No real amenities. Good location.

Nothing.
I
had no recourse but take what they offered.
Did not seem clean, bathrooms were
cramped and
beds were
terrible.

Very friendly staff.
The room was basic.
This was a great hotel. It was clean but pretty basic. No extras. Breakfast was adequate, and staff was very nice.

Convenience to downtown.
Pricey for a 2 star hotel; drain in tub didn't function; heat could not be raised.
The room was adequate.

Nothing, I wont stay here again.
Uncomfortable room for a far too high price.
On my five level rating scales, this place received a FAIR rating, One step above poor.

Hotel had a great location; we could walk to different historical attractions and restaurants.
The front desk was not the least bit sympathetic that we were not happy with the hotel, which was the worst part of the experience for us. The room was very dim which makes it hard for a woman to get ready in the morning. The bathroom was a bit dingy looking, as if it was not thoroughly cleaned after each guest. The room itself was clean and simple. Good location if you like to walk, and easy to find for even the navigationally challenged. read more

It was within walking distance to dining establishments.
It was not clean, smelled of smoke and was loud.
This hotel was the worst one we have ever stayed at. The owners should be embarrassed of themselves to even open the front door and let people in. People were yelling, swearing and slamming doors well into the night. I would never even consider staying here again, and no one I know ever will either.
