Convenient for my travels, safe area.
The hallways definitely smell of smoke.

The hotel is more than a one star. I would give it a 2 star rating. The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean. There was a definite smoke smell in the hallway, but our room was definitely smoke-free. The area where located feels very safe. The rooms do seem updated, however we had an older, non-plasma TV which didn't work well. We stayed close to relatives, and this was very convenient for us. The free breakfast was not that attractive to us, and we didn't use. If visiting those same relatives I would stay here again. read more

Price was reasonable for New York but pay a little more and stay closer in.
This was supposedly AAA approved but it's unlike any other AAA approved place I have ever stayed.

If you are planning to spend most of your time in Manhattan, forget this place. It way out in Queens at least an hour and a quarter by subway and bus from Manhattan. I'm sure the vacuum cleaner must have been broken because in the 5 days we were there, there was absolutely no evidence of cleaning. Breakfast was provided but every morning we were there we had to request that almost all offerings be replenished. read more

It was nice. Clean and updated for an older hotel. Close to the train and in a safe area with lots of options for food.
Had to stay in a smoking room. The outlet behind the bed was loose.

It is very accessible to tourist that prefers to commute going to Downtown.
Breakfast and room is not that cozy.

Accessibility is number 1 to tourist. The room is tidy and amenities are simple.
