Interesting architecture, pet friendly, close to riverfront walk, friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast selection.
Seedy downtown neighborhood, unattractive main entrance at the back of the building, poorly maintained rooms, disappointing decor.

If the rooms were simply clean and maintained, the cookie cutter decor might be overlooked. Unfortunately, the decor does nothing to create a memorable destination in a building that could so easily be a showcase.

It had AC.
Dirty, Crappy, Invasive.

Put "Do Not Disturb" sign on door and staff totally ignored several times, even when confronted to stay out.

Center of town.
A little dirty.

Hotel was ok. Could be a little cleaner. Hot water was a challenge, just ok. Not great, not terrible.

The staff was very helpful and they were very friendly.
They should offer more then waffles, bagels, muffins and toast, coffee, and orange juice could have been better.

The afternoon we arrived the staff on duty upgraded our room to a larger one. (At no extra charge) he was very helpful when we needed extra stuff for our stay. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The room we stayed in was very clean. The location is excellent. Both my husband and I were very happy with our stay. We would stay there again.

Attractive old school setting and rooms.
Downtown location.

The staff was fantastic; the room was clean and serviceable. The hotel was playing host to a university homecoming, but the desk staff made sure we had a room away from the noise and mayhem. High speed internet was no fuss and the room had a CAT5 cord for fast hook-up. Downtown Binghamton is not exactly the prettiest place to spend time, but this hotel is a jewel in a sea of stones. read more

Excellent location and facilities, right in the heart of the city.
I had a long wait before someone came to the front desk.

Excellent quality for the price point.

At least there were real coffee mugs for morning coffee.
My spouse and I are both handicap - there were not a space available for our vehicle to park.

The hotel being adjacent to two nightclubs, made it hard to drive to the hotel, since they felt that they owned the road and the vehicle did not have the right to it. My spouse and I were very frightened over this, we could have killed a college kid. Basically overall experience not good. Appearance to the building is great, but entrance to the hotel is not the same one.
