The staff was friendly and helpful in the restaurant.
Traffic noise can be heard in the rooms.
If you don't mind the traffic noise that can be heard in your room, then this hotel is great.
When you go to this hotel expect to pay $10 a night plus tax for parking. Also, the beds where very firm. The alarm clock is able to have MP3s attached to it. But the back lighting for the clock may not work. The first room I was in, I had to move furniture to plug in the frig in the room. read more

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was clean, smoke free, newly renovated, very nice. I have mixed feelings about the staff. One of the members of the staff was fantastic. They were hopefully training rest of the staff. I felt safe inside of the hotel however the neighborhood was rugged. Valet is the only parking option at this hotel which cost $10 per day. Cars are stacked over each other. Not convenient if you need to get items out of your car. $15 for cab to subway. Would go back. read more

Good clean hotel and close to JFK.
Nothing to do or eat in the neighborhood.
Small clean hotel with easy access to JFK airport. Good for one night stay. No shops or restaurants in the area.

Very clean.
Small room.
The hotel is well maintained, the lobby, restaurant, and the rooms are very clean, although small and not as spacious as other hotel rooms, very comfortable beds.

The breakfast was excellent!
Near airport, but in a shady area of NYC.
Great spot for the price. Excellent shower, staff and meals!

Rooms were the best feature, clean comfortable.
Outside of hotel appeared older and dated. Staff did not recommend great Chinese take out just down the road, but favored an Italian place.
Good for business travelers. Priced right.

Convenient location to JFK airport.
Hotel was under major renovation.
When completed I'm sure that this hotel will be a fine place to stay, but right now it is under major renovation and should be closed until it is in better condition. I nearly slipped and fell twice on the sawdust in the lobby. The hotel had been a Double Tree and was being remodeled to be a Fairfield Inn. In the mean time, no taxi drivers knew what it was and the hotel staff expected that everyone knew this fact. So, while there was a shuttle available from JFK, in two phone calls to check on the shuttle, no one explained that in order to get the shuttle to the Jamaica Club Hotel you had to take the shuttle for the Howard Johnson's and Comfort Inn. read more

Nothing.
I felt totally uncomfortable from the first step of the shuttle, its old, laud, dirty and somewhat strange, I was happy to leave next morning
First of all the shuttle driver from federal circle jfk to the hotel both ways was somewhat unfriendly and unhelpful, did not help with luggage, the van was dirty, smelling and even the sheet on the front window, a pc written doubletree, was crumbled and fixed with a tape, first impression of all counted and kept alive during the stay, the receptionist needed ages to find the reservation, the room itself was clean enough but very old fashioned and I could also sleep in the middle of the highway across to the hotel concerning of the noise, after checking out next morning the Indian front staff was even not very helpful and the hotel manager a different looking Indian. Hotel manager asked me a bit too direct where I am coming from , where to go, but did not even one simple thing in his own business to help, as well as I was waiting for the scheduled shuttle back to jfk which was delayed by 15 minutes, unacceptable for a airport running hotel especially while the driver was parking 20 meter away of the hotel, but no action by the staff was done, ok to come to my final result, not recommended to stay there and I even wondered why the doubletree chain itself accept such an lack of standards within its own chain and wasn't worth to spent money. read more
