Rooms were too small and so was the bed.
For the location and price in NYC - it was fine - but the rooms are very small and we only had a double bed.

Front desk people were friendly and helpful.
Narrow spaces and small rooms resulting in unpleasant stay.
Three nights spent up there were difficult because of the noise in the nearby rooms.

Tiny rooms, cramped, 1st room was disgusting and smelled, staff was rude.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Disgusting, tiny rooms, and discourteous staff. I had a horrible experience.

Front desk clerk was nice. But he could not answer the phones, because there was no other help
The bed was bad.The bathroom and bedroom had very inadequate lighting.WAY TOO SMALL EVEN BY NEW YORK STANDARDS.
This was a truly bad hotel experience. The bed was bad.The lighting virtually non existing.breakfast was poor and they lacked space to sit and eat.but you could not take your food upstairs. The floors sagged and were visibly weak.( I am not fat).Having the elevators out of service in the day would be a health hazard for older people or those with health conditions in a 7 th floor walk-up.I can only state that it is 1 block from the subway at 28th and Lexington Ave. Good. read more

The location is conveinent, but anywhere in New York City is likely to be.
The staff was argumentative, the walls were thin, and the hotel overall looks like a place out of a horror film--a low budget one.

Very helpful staff.
Lots of problems that required lots of talking to the helpful staff.
This hotel is conveniently located by Herald Square. The 6 line train is less than 1 block away. Our room key repeatedly had to be reset and the rooms are
very small. It was spotlessly clean, though. The beds are comfy and the rooms are quiet. The halls are very narrow so a large suitcase can be a trickbag to get through. The breakfast is sparse but the room is large and bright. read more

Nothing - terrible experience.
Internet not working; phone messages lost and rude staff.
This is likely one of the most negative experiences I ever had at a hotel. This is as close to a dump as one can get. The room is a matchbox size, and you cannot open the door without hitting the furniture. The room was not clean and there were stains everywhere. The internet does not work and phone messages were lost (two important overseas calls). Staff was unprofessional and un-trained. Besides location, this is an unadulterated dump. Never use this hotel.
