The beds, sheets, comforter and pillows were very comfortable.
The shower faucet leaked hot water when in use.
Great location for a great NYC price.

Authentic old style elevator without concierge.
Room was VERY SMALL!
Overall a good hotel, great location and very friendly staff. The price was very high for the size of the room, but it made up for it with it's location. It was worth it overall, but we really were not in the room that much, since we were so close to Times Square, The Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden!

Exceptionally Helpful and Kind Front Desk.
Bed and Bathroom linens are old and poor quality.
Charming historic exterior. The inside lobby is pleasant and cozy since it's cut up into two different rooms separated by the foyer where the front desk is located w/exceptionally kind and helpful concierge. The small historic elevator also has a very helpful and cheerful staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I'd definitely book a room here again. Only small gripe is that hotel should upgrade bed and bath linens. read more

The hotel staff was excellent & the location is very good, rooms are clean though small.
The bathroom should be improved. Shower is small & bathroom needs to be updated.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay that started with the friendly & accommodating staff. No hassles upon check-in. Since I booked early, my room was available in the morning so the staff offered we may check-in early to unload our luggages in our room so we were able to have an early pleasant morning sightseeing in New York.

This hotel is very clean and the employee are very friendly.
The elevator.
This hotel is nice and clean and located in a nice good neighborhood. Employees are very friendly, only problem was getting use to not having a bathroom in room.

Nothing.
No restroom, no shower in room.
This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. There was no toilet in the room nor a shower you had to go around the corner to get to both.

Cheap and convenient for young people, the shared bathroom wasn't a problem!
The rooms towards the back of the hotel are darker, I preferred the room we had at the front of the hotel.
The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming to my friend and I, we were able to check in early and relax instead of waiting exhausted from traveling. the hotel is charming with a hand operated elevator and the rooms are comfortable with crisp white sheets! very clean!
