Bathroom was too tiny.

Staff was not friendly, not rude - just too hip. The public space is a bit ill-lit at night and so on first look seems dingy. Room is tiny but bathroom is silly-tiny. Room was sparkling clean as was bathroom, linens and bed were first rate, TV did not swivel to allow viewing from the bed, street noise was not excessive (our room fronted on 58th).

LOVED the contemporary and humorous decor.
No fancy coffee/cappuccino available at night.

If you like sleek contemporary decor this is the place to stay. Rooms were small but so well set up it didn't matter. Shower had a glass wall to see into the bedroom but could be covered by a curtain. Staff was nice, linens were soft, toiletries excellent.

It was very trendy.
Dark rooms.

This hotel is very trendy and hip. They have done a great job of changing the hotel from dorm room to hotel. The staff was very nice, but they are unwilling to budge and help you out when unforeseen situations come up. We were not able to arrive at our original scheduled time, and they would not work with us at all. We were forced to pay for a night for a hotel we did not even stay in. read more

The lobby, overall ambiance.
The hotel room was pretty worked, lots of damage.

This was very nice when brand new, but it needs some refinishing to deal with all the scratches, cracks and overall wear.
