Staff was extremely courteous.
Room smelled like smoke.
We were traveling for a football game in Chapel Hill and this hotel was convenient to both Durham and Chapel Hill and easy to access from the interstate (I-40). It was close to many restaurants (some within safe, easy walking distance) and shopping centers. The hotel lobby and public areas were clean and well-maintained and we felt very safe at this hotel. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. However, we did request a non-smoking room and one was not available, so we had to take a smoking room. There were cigarette burn holes in several places throughout our room and the room reeked of smoke. Our clothes, hair, and personal belongings also reeked of smoke when we checked out. Other than the smokey room, the hotel was a nice, safe, clean place to stay. read more

Location.
Room smelled bad. Linens had stains. Carpet had stains.
Although the location was convenient for us, the room smelled bad (like old wet sneakers). The carpet had stains. The linens were stained.

Friendly and helpful staff - clean, quiet, comfortable room.
I was very pleased with all aspects of my stay in this hotel. The front desk clerk was pleasant about providing smoking room, and gave me a choice of rooms. It is a comfortable, safe and a great deal.

Great location.
Lax security; side doors not locked during the day.
Exterior of hotel looks better than its interior. Carpet in corridors needs replacing. Air conditioning inadequate; hotel feels damp. Sealant around tub/shower enclosure stained from mildew. Rooms not well decorated; no art of any kind. Old (tube type) televisions.

Outstanding staff.
There was nothing that I disliked.
My room was not what was stated. The front desk was very eager to see to my needs without hesitation. They gave me a suite next to the room I had booked and I was willing to pay extra and was told enjoy your stay. My suited had a large Jacuzzi tub which I used every night after my long hours of work. I was always greeted with have a good day as I was leaving for work and Hope you had a good day. I have never been to a hotel where the staff and hotel manger new me by name. I am working in the area next week for business and have done made reservations to stay here again which will do every time I am in the area. I would recommend this to any one in the area. read more
