Description of Comfort Inn Franklin
We are situated atop a mountain and offer a panoramic view of the Smoky Mountains from many of our rooms. We are one mile from downtown Franklin. We are located near Western Carolina University, Southwestern Community College and Highlands, NC. Our close proximity to The Biltmore Estate, Harrah's Casino, Gem Mining and other mountain activities make our location central. All of our rooms have HBO, ESPN, microwave/refrigerator, free high speed Internet as well as other amenities. Our hotel has the areas only indoor pool, hot tub and exercise room for our guest's pleasure. Our hotel also has a free hot continental breakfast available to our guest every morning. Hot tub closed for renovations until 15 November 2008. Pet policy 10.00 per day/ 2 pet max. read more

Attractiveness and cleanliness of hotel.
The indoor pool was extremely chlorinated, giving it a very strong chemical odor.

We were overall very pleased with our stay at this hotel. It was conveniently located and the rooms were very attractive and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Close to where I was going.
Room was outdated, old carpet, smelled.

Good for the money, but the room was a little outdated. Carpet was old and the bed was lumpy.

Conveniently located.
Floors need cleaning, damage: scratches on refrigerator and walls.

It would be a very nice hotel, but it needs new management, twice as I was leaving for the Gem shows, I overheard the manager shouting a his front desk employees, bad business practice in my opinion. The room I had 315 was mostly clean, except for a large spot or stain on the rug, and looked worn out. Needs new management and renovating.

Honestly can't say much!
They changed our room and also the price!

We got to the hotel, and the room was wrong. They had us in a smoking room. Changed us to a handicapped room and also the price was changed on us!

I really have "0" complaints.

Comfort inn Franklin is newly opened, very clean, at night hotel was very quiet, no boisterous college-type parties etc. Staff was great. Area was very scenic, very close to mountains. Downtown Franklin is quaint, no star bucks, but great Italian restaurant with very reasonable prices for fantastic Italian food. The hotel itself is within walking distance to a 24-hour grocery store, wall-mart, and restaurants also within walking distance--very convenient location. read more

Unfriendly night employees.

Beds were terrible, mattress moved on the bed every time you moved, worse than sleeping on a water bed. It was like the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing in all aspects of their operation. Worst comfort inn we have ever stayed in.
