Rooms smelled
very bad!
The room was unclean, very bad smells and smoke, the staff tried to rectify the shower curtain smell but the rest of the room had the same smell as if it was in the air conditioning or carpeting. We received $20 off the 2 night stay but we will never stay there again.

Very nice for the money.
Could use some upgrades to the hotel on the inside.
The hotel staff was great. The hotel was clean and very nice for what we were using it for. The hotel could have used a little maintenance on the inside but very clean overall.

Comfortable bed, decent location.
Too noisy, not the cleanest.
The staff was friendly, but the room wasn't that great. We were only there for one night so we didn't worry too much about the room. Biggest complaints, the tub didn't look clean, the coffee machine looked filthy and the bedside alarm clock looked like someone had rolled it through the dirt, it didn't work anyway. Also, the headboard wasn't actually attached to the bed, or the wall. It was just sitting up between the two. I would've also liked to have more locks on the door. All we had was the basic lock on the knob and the dead-bolt thats made into the handle. Its hard to tell when you actually have that one locked. It was manageable for a single night on a tight budget, but I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time there. It was very noisy too. The doors open to the parking lot so a lot of noise comes in from the street, and we had a neighbor who was constantly cranking up his big dodge ram truck. Someone, either in the room beside or above us, listened to VH1 full blast all night too. Not the greatest insulation. They had clean linens. The heating unit worked. read more

It was cheap and you get what you pay for.
Less than stellar cleanliness.
The hotel was cheap and it showed. The rooms were average. The pool had was miniature size and had no water and we were told it would be open at the end of the week. It never was opened. The no-smoking room had a strong smoke odor (and the no-smoking sign on the door was upside down). The toilet seat was not connected to the actual toilet and the toilet took 2 or 3 tries to flush. The people were very nice, but the hotel is in rough shape. read more

Nice people, great staff, real friendly.
Could of been cleaner.
Compared to a near by hotel, which was twice the price, my room was as good if not better.

Clean rooms, good value for the money.
Inspector closed the pool during our 2nd day, asst. mgr. was somewhat rude.
The first day we stayed there, we swam in the pool that evening and had a great time. After sightseeing all day on the second day, we had planned to get back to the motel fairly early and swim again. While we were gone, an inspector had come by, done some testing, and declared the pool to be closed. The front desk person on duty was very nice and apologetic. I asked her if we could at least bring some pool chairs out so we could lay out and read outside, and she said she wasn't allowed to do that. I then asked if there was some way we could get a partial refund or something, and she said that wasn't within her power, but a manager would be on duty in the morning when we checked out. Basically we ended up wasting a half day of our precious vacation time, as we had gotten back to the motel early just so that we could swim. In the morning when we checked out, the assistant manager was there, I politely explained what had happened, and he said there wasn't anything that could be done. He was not very sympathetic at all. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he wasn't in and that the incoming phone lines were out (which they were in that part of town). I (again politely) suggested to the assistant manager that if this ever happened again with the pool, it would be really great to at least have the pool chairs available so at least people would have a place to hang around outdoors. While I was saying this to him, he ***began turning away from me and shuffling papers.*** I was stunned. I asked him, 'Sir, are you paying attention to what I'm saying?' and he replied, angrily, that he was. I asked for and received the manager's phone number but decided that I'm just going to write a letter to EconoLodge's corporate office. I feel that it is the motel's responsibility to keep the pool up to snuff, and that we should be entitled to some sort of partial refund, or something to make things right. What happens between the inspector and the motel management. read more
