Location
Filthy and overpriced.

At this point, why bother.

Pleasant experience and a wonderful night's sleep.
The view across the street stink looks blighted.

Very nice accommodations for the price and location. Plus, two wonderful nights of sleep. The bed was so comfortable! I watched football games with my family in the room, and we decided we'd definitely like to return there.

The location.
Room looked shabby. Not remodeled in about 20 years.

It wasn't as bad as the other reviews would suggest. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room it's self was dated, back to about the late eighty's. Nothing a little paint and new carpet couldn't fix. It is in a great location and at least $30-$40 less per night then its closest competitor. Don't expect the extras like a pool or DVD player, but for a inexpensive, convenient, basic room it fulfills its purpose. read more

Not much!
Roaches and over all filth were unaccaptable!

The hotel was filthy, there were large roaches and the staff was pretty rude. They treated you like a potential criminal rather than a guest.

Old/broken fitness machines and broken shower curtains.

A great cheap stay. The staff is kind, although the rooms, fitness equipment, and continental breakfast are a bit lacking.

It was fairly inexpensive.
The stains on the sheets and covers.

This is not a good hotel to stay in. It looks like it would be on a Dateline expose. The staff is friendly, but not quite sure how to handle their job. The bedroom doors are short so you can see clearly under the doors and along the side. The bathroom doors are too big and therefore will not close. The mattress was comfortable, but the sheets and bed spreads were scratchy and had stains on them. The right side of the hall is non-smoking and the left side is smoking, so if you are allergic to smoke you cannot walk in the hall. read more

Convenience to downtown area.

Very clean rooms. Hotel staff was very friendly and willing to assist with anything.

The staff was pleasant and helpful.
The doors were ill fitting and did not seal out the light from the hallway making it like sleeping in a bus station.

The hotel has a convenient location to downtown but limited nearby restaurants and evening activities. The rooms were small and reasonably comfortable. However, having to walk past the designated smoking rooms to get to my room I found objectionable. If you have to stay one night and do not want to spend a lot of money it is better than sleeping in your car.

The hotel was decent but its location was horrible based on where we were going in Raleigh.
