Country Hearth Inn And Suites Rocky Mount

This was a good alternative to sleeping in our car as we were driving from New England to Florida and this area (Rocky Mount) is a good half way point with a lot of hotels and restaurants. The hotel has tried to improve its image from the negative reviews left from previous posts. The rooms have newer carpet and furnishings. The bathroom floor was greasy and appeared to not have been mopped in a long time. The pillows smelled good, but since the hotel is pet friendly, we both felt like there were fleas in the bed. We left our bags in the car and brought in one change of clothes, took a nice hot shower and left first thing in the morning. Don't expect continental breakfast, all I could find was hot coffee with fake cream and sugar. read more

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! It was filthy and smelled terrible. The staff was a joke.

It is an average low end motel that needs work, however it is adequate for what you would look for in a cheap motel.

I have stayed at many hotels over the years and never have I had such poor service. The staff could not speak English. The entire place was very dirty. The room had not been restocked of supplies (towels, toilet tissue, tissues, soap, etc). The bed had a rumbled appearance upon entering the room. Then when turning the bed down there were several large black hairs on the pillows. The heater did not function correctly and the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work. During the night we received several calls from the front desk that had got the wrong room. We got a wake up call at 2 am when we did not even request a wake up call. There was so much noise during the night you could not sleep. People were fighting outside the door (staff arguing). The place was horrible. They even charged for a cup of ice. read more

A complete dump. The lobby reeked of some kind of extremely pungent Indian food. The Towels were paper thin. The rooms were well worn, stained, and dirty. The only positive thing I can say is that it had Wi-Fi and it worked.

Needed a dog-friendly hotel in rocky mount, NC so we took our chances. Got two rooms. Had no idea what to expect since we've had really good rooms for the price.

The hotel was okay. The staff was friendly. It looked like someone had been laying on the beds when we walked in. The room stank. I said I wanted a smoking room and there is no smoking in the motel.
