The size of the room was good and the location.
Smell of roach killer in room.

This hotel was okay for the price, but I was let down quite a bit from other folks' reviews. The beds were not good, my hips and back are still sore and it's been three days since we stayed there. The sofa bed had a huge, funky black stain in the middle of the mattress. The room must have had a bug bomb released in it recently because it smelled funky. If you want breakfast, you better get there at least an hour before it's over. My family and I showed up 20 minutes before it was over the first day and there was one dough nut, some eggs and coffee left. The kitchen staff gave us an odd look and hid back in the kitchen area. It made me mad to the point to where I showed up at closing time on the last day of our stay and took as much food as I could. Front desk staff was nice though but didn't return one of my wife's calls about a nearby restaurant. read more

Nothing.
No sheets for the sofa bed, had to go get them ourselves. Sofa bed was broken. Room had double bed, not Q bed. Not enough towels. Not enough glasses.

Only stay here if there is literally nowhere else.

Hawthorne Suites Columbus North was very clean and comfortable, the location was good for access to just about anywhere in Columbus, and it was an overall terrific.

I was pleasantly surprised. I have never stayed in a Hawthorn hotel. I would stay again.
The room had a fireplace, but no fire logs were available. That was disappointment since it was freezing outside.

This hotel reminded me a lot of the Residence Inn which I do like. It was very comfortable and felt like the home away from home. It was like my own little apartment for a day. It can definitely can be a romantic place to stay and with children. Business travelers would be fine too. Of course the security of this type of hotel is not as secure as one where you must enter the lobby to get to the room. It was great not waiting on elevators with kids playing on them though. The full breakfast was a plus. I would recommend this hotel. read more

Told they ran out of breakfast food; told cook went to get more food at store; told cook called off ill,yet, he prepared full breakfasts for guests arriving by 8:00 am. After that, dining room full of guests waiting for food that never arrived!

Outstanding accommodation.
Absolutely nothing that I did not like - it was a fantastic weekend.

I have not had this good a stay at a hotel since I can't remember. I intend to try to make Hawthorn Suites my permanent choice for lodging from here on when I travel to Columbus.

The room was very cozy and well-laid out. I have never been in a hotel room quite like it.
I did not like the heating init that was in a closet several feet from the bed. The noises were enough to delay sleep.

The rooms were cute and equipped with a living area and a kitchen--great for travelers who are tired of fast food. There is even a fireplace! I could have comfortably lived in one of those rooms. The breakfast was generous and filling with many choices for different preferences. Overall quite satisfied.

Had to change rooms, due to no electicity and leaking ceiling.
