I liked that it had a hairdryer and a refrigerator.
The complimentary breakfast did not meet my expectations.

The location.
Roaches everywhere.
This place should be torn down. The roaches were everywhere and I cannot imagine eating a continental breakfast there. They were in the refrigerator, on the walls, in between the sheets when the bed was turned down. When reported to the staff, there was no question that they knew that the hotel was roach infested and they made no apology or excuse.

Convenient location, moderate pricing.
It met my expectations, nothing really negative.
Just off highway exit and easy access. Standard rooms and moderately priced. It is in a safe area and convenient for reaching all destinations around Charleston. I would stay there again.

One of the staff members was extraordinarily helpful. She was very friendly and really went out of her way.
The manager was extraordinarily rude, more so than any hotel personnel I've ever dealt with.
The hotel is somewhat old and it definitely looks its age. However, as far as I could tell, the room was clean and all the facilities worked fine. The continental breakfast was pretty good. On the day we arrived, I talked to the manager both on the phone (trying to find the place) and at check in, and I was really stunned by her rudeness -she acted irritated by the very idea of guests coming to stay at the hotel. I've never experienced anything like it before. However, that evening I dealt with another staff member who was exceptionally friendly and really went out of her way to help us find a great local seafood restaurant (she even gave us a coupon for some free key lime pie there). Indeed, everyone there was nice but the manager. The room was relatively inexpensive, especially how close it is to Charleston. read more

Nice roomy bed, exhaust fan in bathroom.
I was hoping to get laid. It didn't happen.
A charming bungalow with easy access to interstate and shopping.

Continental breakfast was food - need to be there early though.
There is no public Jacuzzi as I was lead to believe (only in "bridal suite").
The hotel met expectations at the level I expected. However, I booked it because it listed a Jacuzzi as an amenity. Upon arrival, we were told it was only for the "bridal suite". Other hotels would have been several miles closer to my area of interest. Next time, I'll use one of them.
