Staff was friendly.
Under construction, rooms dirty had to go through 4 rooms to find one that was clean and didn't smell.

Should inform guests of the condition of the property prior to accept reservations. Hotel was under construction, laundry facility was closed. Breakfast area was dirty, and workers had their tools out in the hallways making it unsafe for children. Only reason why we stayed was because room was already paid for and refund was no available. Don't buy your hotel without knowing the location, conditions of the property and specially without reading the reviews about the property. Not cleaning room or making bed every day!

It sucked because they did not clean room, empty trash, refill coffee supplies, make bed, offer apologies or adjust bill accordingly. They offered nothing to compensate for lousy situation.

Room had a stale smell to it.

Good way to avoid downtown prices if you don't mind driving across the bridge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room had a smell that could be stale cigarette smoke, but it didn't bother me enough to even mention to the front desk. Good value.

Very convenient to downtown, without downtown prices.
Smoky rooms, hallways, parking lot not well lit.

You get what you pay for, staff was nice not overly helpful, kind of needs updating. stale smoke smell everywhere.

We liked the location. Quick and easy access to downtown Charleston and very easy access to Shem Creek.
Only gets smoking rooms. Could not change that. We were told hotel was full but parking lot told otherwise.

We have used Priceline a lot and this experience was the only one that was not great. The room stunk of smoke and we could not change the room, but clearly there were rooms available. On the positive side, this location is great if you want to go downtown or the Mt Pleasant and Shem Creek area. We loved the Shem Creek nightlife.

I liked the free breakfast.
The elevator was slow and kind of scary.

The hotel was good, I would not pay the regular price to stay there, the pool was very small, but the staff was nice and the room was clean. The room was a lot smaller than I thought and they were not king size beds more like full size.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were neat and clean every day and the free breakfast was stock, neat, clean and good.
Disappointed in the pool size. It is great for kids but not for adult pleasure.

Hotel met all of our expectations as we stayed July 3 and 4. Had not booked any more nights as we were not sure the location would work.
We would stay again or would find something on Folly which we really liked.
