Can't think of anything that I especially liked.
There were hair in bed. Smoker's room. No microwave as said. Didn't appear clean. Not much breakfast choice.
We saw the cleaner, clean and she appeared to be doing her job but it just had an unclean feel about it. Probably could do with some redecorating (carpet, paint etc.). Blanket and seat over air conditioner had cigarette burn holes in it. The mini fridge wasn't clean.

We had multiple issue when we arrived at the hotel. Nothing was positive.
We had an issue with Crib. Security. The doors to the building were struck by lighting. Behind the hotel was a race car track not family oriented.
I would not say it as a two star hotel, it was a 1 star. We usually stay at a 2.5 or 3.0 star. The first time was good.

Wifi access, helpful staff & convenient, good breakfast.
Sometimes failed internet even though Wifi signal was present.
Good, basic, comfortable travel accommodations. They don't pretend to be anything special but what they do they do well. I also appreciated the very helpful front desk staff (especially). This is what I want. A dependable, clean, good place to rest. The kitchenette facilities were a bonus in the suite I had. This was a difficult trip and Microtel was exactly what I needed. They were willing to fax documents out of state for us as a courtesy. Thank you! read more

Clean and quiet.
Too far from beach ( 6 miles ) and did not have iron/ironing board or hair dryer.
Abandoned mobile homes adjacent to property detracted immensely from the overall view.

Very friendly staff beds were comfortable.
The hotel smelled like cigarette smoke.
I would definitely go back it was a short distance from the beach mall and all places to eat.

the fact that it was between the beach and coastal university...
dirty spots on window seat...were not microwaves and fridges in every room...
The hotel was not what I had expected.... I have been to other microtels...and they have looked more kempt. However, the staff was great...
