The location
Moldy/Mildew odor that permeated the room and kept us awake most of the night.

The hotel was in a good location. Within walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg so we did not have to pay for parking. However, at some point in time, the room had been flooded and the carpet/room had an overpowering moldy/mildew odor.

Older hotel but quaint.
Bathroom not up to par.

Had to get employee to show us how to use the shower but otherwise everyone was very friendly and helpful. Requested more pillows and they were brought immediately.

Upgraded to a more spacious room.
Outdated.

I
was pleased the staff had already placed us in a family suite however they didn't even know we had kids. Had a kitchen however nothing to use in it even if
I wanted to ie. a pot to cook in. Seemed clean the floor looked dingy and overall the room needed to be updated as far as walls and flooring, as for pet friendly.
However
I had no place to walk my dog to the bathroom. read more

The swimming pool was conveniently located.
The blankets smelled dusty and of stale cigarette smoke.

When we checked in the staff did not give us any details on what was located around the hotel, they did not give us any info about the continental breakfast, such as times, etc. She told me that she did not have a queen available, but had a King size bed, which was fine with me since our 3 year old daughter would be sleeping with us. When we went to our room it smelled dusty and of stale cigarette smoke. read more

I liked that I was able to find this hotel in such a short notice. It served the purpose.

I found everything sufficient and a great price, so I had extra money to leave a tip for the person who cleans the room. I have read the reviews that people have written and if it is true what they said I feel their pain but other then that my wife and I were very comfortable and pleased.

Close to all attractions, but quiet and peaceful.
The pool was a little too cold for evening swimming.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a very comfortable room and pet friendly. My family plans to stay here on future trips to Gatlinburg.
