The Howard Johnson Gatlinburg is in a great location 1 block from the center of town with beautiful Smoky Mountain views. The property is within walking distance to all attractions and features Aunt Bs Pancake House and Grill with a 15 Percent discount for all guests. 2 night minimum on July 5th and 6th and December 5th and 6th, 2008 3 night minimum on May 23rd-25th, August 29th-September 1st and December 29th-31st, 2008 The Howard Johnson has 4 floors with elevators and 102 rooms. Some rooms with wood burning fireplaces, some feature a jacuzzi. Other room features include coffee makers, data port phones, iron and ironing boards, and a 25 or 34 inch TV with free HBO and 70 cable channels. Guest laundry is available at property. The bed was very comfortable, room was clean, and pillows were comfortable.
It was farther away from the main drag than the description implied.

More or less what we expected for the price.

It was a nice room for the price we paid.
The restaurant food was overpriced and bland.

We only wanted the rooms to shower and sleep. The beds were and comfy. We brought our own pillows. The shower was small but served its purpose. Good location, a very short walk to everything. Front desk man very friendly and helpful.

Friendly people working there, easy to get to our room, quiet place.
No wifi.

We would stay there again if we were ever in the area. It is just far enough away from the local attractions to be restful.

easy check in/out.
Steep parking lot leading right into busy road.

Great place to stay for a vacation on a budget. If you want a 4 star hotel, stay in a 4 star hotel. Heard neighboring room complain the room wasn't top notch, but I think it was a great room for the price. Our room was clean, cold, and gave us a place to relax in-between going and exploring Gatlinburg. Check in/out was a breeze. Our room was right by the pool, which was clean and a great place to cool off. Parking lot was very steep leading into a busy road, nothing too serious and nothing they can really do to help it, but good to know for maybe handicapped people who do not know about this. read more

Great location, friendly staff, no smoking, no pets.
The pool did not have water in it. We really wanted to swim.

Great hotel for the money, friendly staff, good food in the restaurant on the property. Wood recommend to family and friends. The jacuzzi was nice.

The room
had perfect design for use and space. Located in the perfect spot for the strip.

My expectations were met and then some for the Howard Johnson. The location on the strip was perfect at the end, walk down one side of the strip then right back on the other side. The bathroom was very nice with its little extras. I will stay there again

The fireplace in the room.
The hotel ran out of wood for the fire place.

The hotel is located in a centralized location to most attractions in Gatlinburg. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous and the room was very clean and well maintained.

The room was big and and the beds were very nice.
We had the room with the fireplace it would had been nice if it had a sofa to set on to look at the fireplace.

We enjoyed the motel and had a great time
