It was close for visiting child at Sewanee.
Noisy pipes at 6 am, floors shook whenever anyone walked by outside, HVAC was caulked together and looked dangerous.

I liked the rustic atmosphere.
I felt that the restaurant and trading post where way overpriced. I paid $5.43 for 3 candy bars.

The hotel rooms were average in comfort and appearance. I enjoyed the grounds. Very quiet and peaceful.

The pool at the hotel did not work on arrival.

The hotel was somewhat cozy. At arrival the hotel pool was not working and they had said it would not be working for some time. The smokehouse restaurant was very good however and recommend it to anyone who likes southern home cooking.
