Best Western Southgate Inn & Suites

It took them 20 minutes to give us our key card but when we went to the room, it was not ready yet. The room smelled bad and it seemed like they covered the smell with some fruit spray. The continental breakfast tasted horrible.

Room was comfortable enough with refrigerator - microwave and coffemaker made it easier to overlook location and dirty public areas (stairs-halls). Free breakfast was good and rooms were family friendly. Stayed here as no place in San Marcos or South Austin available.

Super clean, good illumination on outside, comfortable rooms and quiet nights. The only we like to see is more friendly and dedicated attentions as a customer at the hotel. Continental breakfast has to have fresh stuff (croissants, biscuits).

This hotel worked out rather perfectly for my business stay. Shower was hot, amenities provided, comfortable bed, quiet outside, no bugs inside (awesome!), good breakfast, and very helpful staff.

The smell hit you when you walked in the front door. They did not have a business center for business travelers. The workout room was really nasty. The carpet was wet and the light fixtures were hanging holding water from the ceiling. The equipment was not in good working order.
