Very clean, very nice decor, breakfast buffet was nice and convenient.
The pool closed earlier than I expected, but it was no huge inconvenience.
I was impressed by the lobby, and was surprised by a bar in a moderately priced hotel. The staff was quick to bring extra towels for my group. Our stay was flawless and we enjoyed the short time we were there.

Terrific bed, good price and good location.
Unprepared at breakfast but still okay.
We would definitely stay here again and we believe we received a better value and a much better stay for the money at this Courtyard by Marriott than we did at the more expensive and higher rated Embassy Suites which is right next door.

The air conditioning worked well.
The only mirror is in the bathroom.
The hotel is quite decent.
We didn't have enough towels the first day, but that got corrected. The lack two mirrors makes it hard to for 2 people to get ready at the same time. Close to shopping, convenient to downtown, Lexington, aquarium, etc. I would stay again.

I thought is was very nice, clean and location was good.
Someone upstairs was very loud and sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling.
I really liked this hotel and will stay there again. Will request the top floor.

I liked the plasma screen TVs.
The breakfast! It was not free and the waiting staff was lacking the needed help.
Decent hotel! I wouldn't consider it a 3-star, more of a 2 or 2 1/2 star. The room space was OK, but there was not a fridge or microwave. The breakfast was not free, and the waiting staff/breakfast area was very unorganized.

The king size bed.
Location.
We were not pleased with the location of this hotel as it was too far from the beach. Also, when we arrived (at 2:20) the desk clerk said no rooms were available yet and that check-in wasn't until 3:00. As we sat and waited, at least seven other parties came in and immediately got room assignments. We finally, after waiting twenty minutes, had to ask about the room and the clerk gave us a room. She knew rooms were available and yet gave others rooms while we waited. We heard someone ask for a fridge for their room and they got one. We also asked for a fridge was told there were none available. We felt we were treated this way intentionally because we were Priceline customers and did not pay full price for the room. Although the room was supposed to be nonsmoking, it smelled strongly of cigarette odor. For a Marriott hotel, this one was substandard. read more

New, clean and was close to the highway but a couple of blocks far enough so there wasn't any noise.
Nice, clean and extremely comfortable rooms.

The lack of concern of the staff.
My family was very disappointed with this hotel. We had high expectations because of the star. We, my husband and I and our 2 children (both under the age of 3) arrived to check in at the stated time, 3:00 pm. We were told that due to being booked for the last couple of nights our room was not ready. The staff member at the front desk was nice, said that it would take about 30-45 minutes for our room to be ready and we could get a late lunch/early dinner while we waited. So we did just that, even though we had just come from the beach and wanted to get cleaned up. Around 5:30 we came back expecting that surely 2 1/2 hours later our room would be ready. Another staff member was at the desk by then and when my husband attempted to check in, he was told there were no rooms ready for us to check into. My husband informed him that we were told the same thing over two hours ago and asked why we even bothered making a reservation if it couldn't be honored. The staff member basically ignored the comment and told him there were no rooms ready and we just had to wait longer. Understandably, I was very frustrated since we were tired and just wanted into the room we were expecting to have at 3 pm. that day. Finally, by 6 pm. another staff member came to the front desk and informed us that our room was ready apologizing for the wait. I understand that sometimes things happen. But the fact that after waiting for over two hours we barely got one apology and no attempt to make up for the huge inconvenience was a great disappointment. We expected more from the name Marriott and high star rating. If it was our mistake checking out later than the designated time they wouldn't have hesitated to charge us. However, because of their mistake there was no offer for compensation or concern. read more

Swimming pools was open.
Maid service was late in the day and we had to ask for towels.
Weekday staff was very friendly. Weekend staff needs to work more with Weekday staff on friendliness. The maids always cleaned the rooms real late in the day and twice they left us no towels in the room. One time they didn't come until after 6 pm. Not what I would expect from a Marriott. Especially going to the bathroom and not having any towels to dry your hands off with. Also, wireless was down and we had to go buy an ethernet cable so that we could do work because the hotel didn't have enough for everyone. Nice hotel but service needs to improve. They also don't have refrigerators in the room although the rooms are set up to have one. read more
