Hotel Guest Reviews of the Gaylord Texan
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 4, 2012

way too firm. My husband and I woke up with stiff backs.

Good convention hotel, not a good business hotel if you're needing to be near DFW. The $ I saved by buying a night here were eaten up in transportation costs to/from DFW. Next time I'll stay right at the airport at the Hyatt Regency DFW.

I'm not sure whom this hotel is designed for. Conventions? Maybe. It's a bit of Las Vegas without the gambling. It's completely over-the-top in decor, with nothing that could be described as warm and inviting.

solved it and apologize over and over again.
Big clean neat resort hotel with convention center & restaurants/shops, you can enjoy the lake view. You need to pay extra resort fee(2 bottles of water etc provided) and shuttle fees if you use shuttle(or parking fee). Far from Airport(10 min or more) and downtown. (Grapevine downtown & mall is closer, but you still need to use drive).

I'm guessing this is a pretty serious vacation destination during better weather & it really is a very nice place, but I felt somewhat abused by the additional parking fee (under $18) & the separate resort fee (over $16). I wasn't looking for a resort destination, I'm a business traveler looking for overnight accommodation near the airport. That said, I'm glad to have seen the place but would rather not win this location next time!

Hotel staff made my husband's birthday special, had an excellent dinner at Old Hicory Steak House and spent time in the relaxing spa! This is our choice location for getaways and special events.
