Description of Hampton Inn Dallas-Rockwall
The area of Rockwall Texas which is near our Hampton Inn Dallas-Rockwall Texas hotel was originally occupied by Caddo Indians. Creek Indians moved to the area in early 1800s. The origin of Rockwall also is related to the selection of its name. In 1851 as the first Anglo-American settlers moved to the area they started to dig wells. During the digging they found large underground rock walls that seemed to be man made though the scientist believe they are natural formations. The town was established April 17 1854 and named after these rock walls. While originally part of Kaufman County in 1873 Rockwall County was formed with Rockwall being the county seat. With the city*s fortunate location on Lake Ray Hubbard Hampton Inn Dallas Rockwall Texas guests enjoy an abundance of water sports and recreation. Rockwall hosts 14 marinas and two yacht clubs. Fishing is a major sport on the lake as is sailing and boating. The Bass Pro Shop for those who love the outdoors is also located on Lake Ray Hubbard. Rockwall*s parks are designed to accommodate the tennis enthusiast to the biker or walker. For golf enthusiasts Rockwall has four golf courses two being championship golf courses that have ranges that challenges the skill of all golfers. The city is home to the Dallas Diesel a football team in the North American Football League. The Diesel entered the 2007 season in July as the defending league champions. Zac Leatherwood is the well-known quarterback in their county that led them to their victory. The city*s new Harbor District is within walking distance of the Hampton Inn Dallas Rockwall Texas hotel. Attractive lobby; close to good dining establishments.
The room door didn't latch properly when it closed; the commode didn't work well.

My room was very spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well, and that's not always the case even at the most deluxe facilities. Overall, I was impressed with the hotel and will stay there again if travel takes me to Rockwall.
