The hotel was terrible. Dirty rooms, dirty beds, dirty hotel. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone.
I did not like anything about this hotel. I didnt even stay there. It was the worst hotek I ever been to. I compare it to a hotel in Mexico w/ roaches
I would recomend priceline take this hotel off their list. I looked at the pictures on-line and when I got to the hotel I was compeltely unhappy. The mamagement was nice to my issues and understood why I would not stay there with my wife and children. I left the howard johnson and went to the Roadway Inn off of the loop and knicerbocker. It was a noce hotel, very clean, clean beds and an overall experience was good. I will never stay at the howard johnson in San Angelo. I would not recomend it to my worst enemy. It was nasty. my god there were crumbs in the sheets. I dont even think the sheets were washed. The pillow cases were brown, but supose to be white. I dont complain very much when I stay places and I travel alot, this place was terrible. The rooms were dirty, hot, and smelled like smoke. It was a smoke free room. I have seen better towels in a bathroom at a truck stop. And dont even get me started about the bathrooms, they were dirty. Hallways were dirty, dead cockroaches and crickets on the floor. I mean come on, vaccuum once and a while. I will use priceline again. I'm not upset with priceline but you guys need to remove this hotel off you recomended list, otherwise your going to get a bad name. Lousy hotel, worst experience ever!
Old, dirty, smelly, terrible and felt unsafe.
This hotel was a Howard Johnson franchise, but it was the worst hotel I've ever walked into. The outside of the hotel told it's age, and made us feel very uneasy. My wife started to cry when we walked into the lobby. There was an old bar in the hotel, and the smell was enough to make you gag. It was so bad that we walked out, even though we were being charged for the night. We were forced to get another room, at last minute rates that cost us nearly 3 times what we expected. read more

I disliked everything.
Rooms are nasty dirty carpet, dirty sheets, smell like smoke. I walked into the office checked in then left to go to the mall for about 3 hours came back, went to the room and was disgusted.

Nothing.
Everything.
We weren't happy with what we saw so we went and stayed some where else. The pool was closed.

Filthy and broken down.
Old building, non-working elevators, pool looked diseased. Stained carpets, leaky plumbing. Electrical upgrades had exposed unpainted conduit. A/C was duct taped together.

It was greatful that the restaurant staff provided my 2 and 4-year-olds with a free pancake.
I didn't find the heating system very efficient. I had the heater on the highest setting and was still cold all night.

The room was large.
Service desk check us out on their
own, we were having breakfast : we went back up to the room to use the restroom before checking out : key didn't work.
Make sure in the morning to take all your things out before having breakfast because you will not be able to go back up even if you have 2 hours before check-out.

Nothing.
Extremely different from pictures and description on line.
Come on, this was a Howard Johnson hotel. So, even though it was a 2 star, the pictures looked good, so I booked the room. We arrived at a hotel in the worst part of town. The indoor pool had about a foot of water in it that was actually green in color. We had to park in an alley to get to the room. The room had a stand up fan that the electric outlet it was plugged into didn't work. The toilet ran all night. The hot water on full blast with no cold running was still barely warm. read more
