Great room and helpful people.
Vending machines out and AC in elevator was out.

The people were very helpful and the location was great. The rooms were very nice. Holiday Inn did a great job of turning an older building into a nice place to stay.

staff was friendly and helpful. accomodations were clean but small
pool and rooms were small

Overall it was a great experience. Convenient location. Pool and rooms were smaller then expected, but kept clean and free of odor. Not very family friendly, as most Express hotels are smaller. Bed was comfortable and offered pillows in two comfort types. You could adjust your own A/C which was a plus as well. Rooms also came with a small microwave and refrigerator, nice for storing and heating leftovers. Free breakfast was underwhelming, but still convenient. read more

Destiny at the front desk was awesome.

Staff was very friendly and any questions or concerns
I had they answered promptly. The hotel is about 4 from the river walk and 6 blocks from the Alamo,
not a bad walking distance. It was a great place to stay for our weekend.

I liked the historical significance, was once the county jail and was in the middle of a historic district.
The only thing I didn't like was that you had to park in an open lot that wasn't adjacent to the hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The front desk staff was really friendly and knowledgeable. The proximity to the Riverwalk was good, but not so close that you could be kept awake by all the revelry. My room was very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed reading the brief history of the building (used to be the county jail). And there was a really cool old building across the street that I think was once a boarding house and lively. Pretty cool location, in my opinion. I would love to stay there again! read more

The room was spacious and very comfortable.
I did not like the location of the hotel. It was located kind of in an alley and the parking was terrible.

The hotel was nice and comfortable. I stayed in the king suite and I loved it. It was spacious and very attractive. The downside was the location of the hotel, which was like in a side street. The hotel was small, so we were surprised it was a Holiday Inn. Also, the parking was terrible. There was like 10 sparking spots in the hotel parking lot. The rest of the parking spaces were located across the street in an alley. It was terrible and didn't feel safe for vehicles. It was also an inconvenience to carry all of your baggage across a ditch and over a street. Also, the parking was $8. Despite the parking issues, the staff was friendly and the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. read more

Friendly staff.

It was good enough for us to stay here just for a few days for the closeness to the River Walk.

They billed twice and charged me for parking without telling me.
