Best Western Old Main Lodge

For the money, I felt like this was a good choice. I've stayed in most of the motels near Baylor and this was the best value by far. The room was comfortable and spacious, the location is outstanding, traffic noise was minimal and the staff was courteous. Overall, a surprisingly pleasant experience.

Upon check in the clerk was rude about going though pricneline to get a cheap rate.

Appeared to be a motel converted into a hotel rather than an actual hotel.

They nearly gave me a smoking room which would have been horrible. Room was very old and used but clean. Had frig & microwave and ironing board which was great for a cheaper hotel. Very quiet even near pool. Great location near university.

Toilet backed up and water went everywhere. Maintenance was in and out of our room for over an hour and never fixed the problem. We were told to just not use the toilet. When we checked out we were told that it was a line problem and several rooms had the same problem. How can you be expected to not use the toilet? They never offered to move us or give us a discount.

The floor in the room wasn't clean. The pillows had hair on them when the covers were turned back. The door key to one of my rooms did not work and I had to go to the office several times to get in my room. The ice machine was not worth a flip. The breakfast was excellent on both mornings with a lot of different choices. The kids loved the breakfast and the pool. With 2 rooms, I was hoping to get them closer together, but the rooms were on different sides of the hotel. read more

Hotel is good for an overnight stay on a budget. It was comfortable and clean. It was right off the freeway and conveniently located.

While this hotel is conveniently located, I would never stay there again. There were old broken Mardi Gras beads hanging on the light fixture and a used balloon, clothing tags, and pebbles on the floor. I stayed there because I had no other alternative, but I left as early as I could the next morning. I would not even eat the free breakfast because I wanted out of there so badly. read more

Hotel very close to Baylor University. A good place to go and conveniently located.

We got in late and left early so we weren't there long enough to really care!
