Great location.
See below.
Man at front desk was very accomodating when I needed to check in a few hours early. However, the hotel literally had someone walk into my room without knocking- at a VERY inopportune time. He was there to 'check the cleanliness of the room. A simple knock would have been useful.

Close proximity to downtown.
I feel we payed too much, the chairs were filthy, toilet was dirty, phone and window were broken.
This hotel was dirty and had an odor in the hallways. The staff was pleasant but it was one of the dirtiest places we could have stayed in. I would not recommend this hotel.

The restaurant food was cheap, decent and the staff was friendly.
Totally out of date decor, old towels, shower was at height of my chest.
Luckily I got an OK price on Priceline because I would never pay what they were asking on Expedia. It has old, out of date décor. The bathroom had old dingy towels and the shower head was so low I had to squat to get under it. The twin bed was also too small for two adults to sleep in.

Proximity to Mont Pelier's town.
The matresses were too soft and rooms were small.

It was close to everything, about 5 mints from Montpelier and Barre, close to all restaurants, gas stations, and about two mints from the local mall.
The shower had to be the smallest I'd ever seen in my life, it was very uncomfortable.
The staff was friendly as is typical of Vermonters, and although the restaurant wasn't five star we both had a great meal, especially the sirloin tips! Hats off to the chef, it was fantastic. The decor could use a little update, but I guess it's that old fashioned Vermont charm.
