The hotel is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants in the historic downtown area of Chincoteague Island and biking distance from the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and beach on Assateague Island where the famous Chincoteague Ponies roam free. We are just minutes from NASA Wallops Flight Facility, NOAA Department of Commerce, and NASA Visitor Center. False advertising of bay view, when only side-partial view was provided.

This pleasantly located and relaxed hotel needs to be more honest in its advertising. In its own Web-site advertising, it clearly states when rooms are side/ partial Bay View. It advertised Bay View, and then failed to deliver this. I purchased this room at the full, higher of two prices based upon the promise of a Bay View. This false promise reduced our satisfaction by at least 50 %, I do not recommend the Hotel to others based upon this experience. read more
