The outside of the building was falling apart, seriously.

It was terrible service and when we got there we couldn't even check in until after 6pm because they had no rooms available because they had only 2 house keepers, the room was VERY SMALL and was not welcoming at all, the staff was not friendly and acted as though they did want to be there, just a bad hotel, scary building and elevators as well!

Location in comparison to the event I was attending.
It smelled like smoke.

The location was great but the hotel really smelled like smoke.(especially the elevators) I would invest in an ionizer or a something to help with that. The bed was comfortable. And the late night desk clerk needed a shower.

Small, unattractive room.

It was a cheap room, and the facilities look like they haven't been updated since the 80’s, but so what? The bed was comfortable, the premises were clean, and there was free breakfast. The elevators were a little scary, but that's my only real complaint.

Convenient location to local attractions and restaurants.
Old, rooms smaller than newer places.

The room was small, but clean and appropriate and usual size for older, city, hotel. Rooms and hallways could use some updating. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, the hotel was as we expected, and we would stay here again. The price made the hotel a downtown value.

There is no pool and isn't as nice as the other downtown hotels BUT for the price it was perfect. It has only one ice machine on the lower level.

The hotel wasn't the nicest hotel in the world but for staying right downtown the price was right for what you got. The rooms were clean and the service was great.

We liked its location.
It was a little beaten up and needs updating.

The hotel is convenient to the River Walk and the Lakefront. It was quiet and the rooms were clean. The staff was friendly.
