Close to shopping. Spacious room. Free Wi-Fi.
Cleanliness was subpar.
I really wanted to like this hotel, but it was just really old, run-down, and dirty. The location of the hotel was good since it was close to a lot of shopping and some good eateries. If you're just looking for some place to sleep, this is the place for you. The lobby is nice, but they definitely need to work on revamping the rooms.

The restaurant and the river were pretty.
This hotel was fine. The rooms were nice, not remarkable, but very nice and spacious. The linens were very crisp and clean. The restaurant is located by the river and it was beautiful to eat breakfast there and watch the runners and the sunshine.

Looking out over the river was great.
Not enough parking.
I just love the Valley River Inn. The Hilton and the Valley River Inn are so far superior.

Good enough but was
not great.
Would not let us check-in to our pre-paid rooms till 6 pm.
Shocked that we could not checkin to rooms we had reserved and paid for two months earlier. The hotel was fine, otherwise. A shuttle to Autzen stadium leaves from the facility.

Very friendly staff, nice and
large rooms.
Fitness room was mediocre.
Almost everything was great about this hotel from very friendly staff at the front desk and the restaurant, to the large and quiet rooms. The food at the restaurant was delicious also.

I was more than impressed with the hotel considering the price I paid.
It had a very small television.
Excellent.

They gave us a very nice room.
Nothing
If you can get a 3rd floor room, the beds are much more comfortable.

Room was very large.
Room needed to be updated.
While the Valley River Inn offers good value, it requires use of a car to get to Downtown and prime dining establishments. However, if you want to shop a good Mall, the location is prime. Sweet water's is an excellent restaurant, but with limited choices for adventuresome eaters.
